To obtain a Coxswain Grade 3 through the Declaration process you will need


1. Recreational boat license.


2. Complete a minimum of 1 day of commercial sea service, which we arrange on one of our commercial vessels if you do not already have it.


3. Certificate of Medical Fitness - Domestic Seafarers (AMSA 1850). This is a basic medical that you can have done at your GP. You will need to download the form from the AMSA web site and take it with you to the GP.


4. A current first aid certificate.


This course covers the second item.  After completing this you will be given an AMSA record of sea service form verifying your day of commercial sea service.


The day will cover some of the practical components required for your Coxswain Grade 3 and will give you exposure to a AMSA Domestic Commercial Vessel
