Marine Radio Licence

- Ort: Lavender Bay, NSW
- Produkt-Code: RADIO
The VHF Marine Radio is the most widely used communication system on marine vessels, serving as a vital tool for safety and coordination at sea. In many regions, vessels traveling more than a few nautical miles offshore are legally required to have a VHF radio onboard, operated by a qualified individual.
This VHF Radio Operators Course offers a unique and innovative learning experience. It incorporates simulated systems, allowing you to practice making broadcasts, build confidence, and receive appropriate responses to your calls.
Unlike other programs, it also features a simulated Digital Selective Calling (DSC) radio setup, giving you hands-on experience interacting with other radios—something that isn’t feasible for practice in real-world conditions. It’s an engaging and practical way to learn, providing an experience on a real radio without broadcasting the transmission out of the training environment.
To earn your Short Range Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency (SROCP), you must complete the Australian Maritime College's multiple-choice exam and a practical assessment.
Anyone operating a VHF Marine Radio should do this course as should boat owners with a VHF radio installed onboard. If you are an Individual needing a VHF radio license for a Yachtmaster qualification or commercial marine operations this course is also for you.
